Ceramic Grooved Vase

Most vases are a container first and a shape second. This one is the other way round.

It is a flat ceramic slab, with grooves stepping in towards a rectangular opening cut straight through the body, so whatever is behind it shows through. The neck on top is round and narrow, enough for a few dried stems, but the piece holds a shelf on its own with nothing in it. Comes in sand and in black, both matte.
